Golden City of Pforzheim

The history of the microbrand Circula begins in 1955 with Heinz Huber in Pforzheim, the watchmaking heart of the Black Forest. Today, 65 years later, Circula is producing high-quality watches in the third generation, making it one of the oldest watch microbrands in the world.

What makes it special: Original in-house movements from the Pforzheimer-Rohwerke GmbH (P.U.W.) are installed in the hand-wound and automatic watches from the limited Heritage collection. These New Old Stock movements have been slumbering in a collector’s warehouse since the late 1970s and were only rediscovered by accident a few years ago.

The Company was founded by Luigi Poli and Dante del Vecchio, two friends who met in Florence and decided to turn a common passion into business by creating Visconti in October 1988.

Over the time, Visconti products have become iconic pieces that spread Italian values worldwide: design and creativity, craftsmanship and innovation, quality and luxury.

A watch movement, a rack-wheel and a cigar box – just out of these components a twelve year old boy constructed a toy car. It was the first piece of a genious engineer before he wrote automotive history. Meanwhile, Carl Friedrich Wilhelm Borgward has become a legend.

Owner and manufacturer of the watch brand BORGWARD is Jürgen Betz. He transfers his passion and fascination of the Borgward era into his masterpieces of microbrand watchmaking. In 2003 Jürgen Betz had the initial ignition when he found the original BORGWARD steel printing clichés from the 50s.

FABBRICATO IN BRIANZA – these are the words that appear on the back of every ErrediBi, showing that the entire production chain is managed by a pool of leading micromechanics workshops, all less than 10 km from Milan city center.

Each case kit is finished by hand before being finally assembled, which underlines the uniqueness of each piece produced.

Erredibi’s industrial heritage has allowed the watchcase concept to be rethought and taken to the next level. A simple watchcase becomes a real mechanical work of art, the result of the machining of 9 different components, all of which are taken from the entire piece of material: Unprecedented on the world watch scene – a mechanical masterpiece.

The King.

The word “Biatec” (or “Biatex”) originates probably from the name of a king who appears on the old Celtic coins minted in the area of today’s Bratislava (the capital of Slovakia) during the 1st century B.C. The name is also used to refer to the coin itself.

The brand wanted to make a strong connection between the brand’s name and it’s heritage, so this is where the brand name comes from.

Naturally, the creators and people who work at the brand are proud to be Slovaks and so the logo reminds of the national Slovakian emblem, which is the symbol of their country, culture and tradition.

Biatec designs elegant and stylish, yet simple watches, Wrist watches, inspired by the heritage, as well as by great symbols of Slovakia and worldwide technological achievements of the past. The main motto at Biatec is: “Inspired by the past, driven by the future…”.
