With a groundbreaking patent for hardenable stainless steel, the family-owned company DAMASKO began a development process over 24 years ago that culminated in its first in-house manufacture caliber, the A 35, in 2010. The basic automatic movement already gained an equally ambitious "brother" in 2012, the in-house caliber H 35. The current developments of these two movements ensure a vertical integration of up to 90 percent in DAMASKO in-house watches, something far from common in the industry today.
Durable and innovative, accurate, and extremely durable – these are the qualities that define its mechanical watches, and DAMASKO has continued to develop these qualities over the years, now holding more than 100 patents, designs, and utility models. New materials introduced into the construction of watch movements play a key role. These range from nanotechnological coatings for a lubricant-free escapement to a patented hairspring made of polycrystalline silicon. This material in particular makes DAMASKO watches not only extremely accurate, but also particularly resistant to magnetic fields and extreme temperature or pressure fluctuations. It's no coincidence that the Airbus Defence & Space test pilots in Manching have been relying on the DC 56 pilot's watch from DAMASKO since 2007.
However, you don't have to be a pilot to wear a DAMASKO hand-crafted watch on your wrist. In addition to their innovative quality and clean aesthetics, DAMASKO watches are distinguished above all by their very fair price-performance ratio. DAMASKO stands for handcrafted watches that reinvent the time-tested mechanical movement to new perfection.
