Biel/Bienne Switzerland “Formex = extreme form, Formex, French for 'extreme form', is a 100% Swiss watch brand, founded in 1999. Its headquarters are in Biel, the heart of the watchmaking industry. Formex's roots lie in the production of high-quality watches and components that meet the highest standards of quality. With exceptional technical solutions, Formex makes a good product even better, offering added comfort and functionality in its watch models and specially developed straps. The origin: More than 20 years ago, two Swiss brothers, both passionate watchmakers, wanted to combine their two shared passions: motorsport and timekeeping. The chassis of fast racing cars and motorcycles provided the inspiration for a unique case suspension. The two brothers developed the patented Case Suspension System as a feature of all Formex watches – a feature that remains to this day. The system not only protects the movement from hard impacts but also provides greater comfort for the wrist. Added to this is the unique look – robust and sporty. Where is Formex headed? In the 15 years since its founding, Formex has presented more than 40 collections, all equipped with the patented case suspension. Formex enjoys a high reputation among enthusiasts of high-quality and exceptionally designed sports watches.
