    The perfectionists.

To better understand the exceptional products of the Minase brand, it is worth taking a look at its origins:
The brand logo, which is also found on the crowns of the watches, is designed in the motif of a “step drill” and reflects the origin of the traditional Japanese company – as a manufacturer of cutting tools and precision drills for metalworking.

Founded in 1963 as Kyowa Co. Ltd., the company quickly attracted the attention of the watchmaking industry. Kyowa's precision drills became an essential element of Japanese watch manufacturing, leading to the company's expansion into the production of watch cases.

Due to their expertise and creativity, Kyowa was commissioned to manufacture increasingly complex watch components, cases, and bracelets. Polishing techniques became increasingly important and an integral part of the production process.

After decades of manufacturing top-quality components for watchmaking brands, the company decided in 2005 to launch its own watch brand, MINASE, producing absolutely perfected timepieces, meticulously crafted down to the smallest detail. The brand name comes from the town of Minase in Akita Prefecture, where the company's workshop is located. Minase is somewhat reminiscent of the Vallée de Joux, known as the birthplace of the Swiss watchmaking industry. Minase's snow-covered, remote location limits its inhabitants geographically, but it also cultivates the patience essential for watchmakers and true craftsmen.

MINASE's goal is to manufacture watches that will still be appreciated by their wearers even after 100 years.
