Biel/Bienne, Switzerland "Formex = forme extrème, French for 'extreme form'" Formex is a 100% Swiss watch brand, founded in 1999. The company is headquartered in Biel, the heart of the watch industry. Formex's roots lie in the manufacture of high-quality watches and components that meet the highest standards of quality. With extraordinary technical solutions, Formex makes a good product even better, offering added comfort and functionality in its watch models and specially developed straps. The origins: More than 20 years ago, two Swiss brothers, both passionate watchmakers, wanted to combine their two shared passions: motorsports and timekeeping. The chassis of fast racing cars and motorcycles provided the inspiration for a unique case suspension. The two brothers developed the patented Case Suspension System, a feature of all Formex watches – to this day. The system not only protects the movement from harsh impacts but also provides greater comfort for the wrist. Added to this is the unique look – robust and sporty. Where is Formex headed? In the 15 years since its founding, Formex has introduced more than 40 collections, all featuring its patented case spring mechanism. Formex enjoys a high reputation among connoisseurs of high-quality and exceptionally designed sports watches. Formex: "An innovative distribution model, coupled with our strong commitment to high-end manufacturing, enables us to offer a first-class Swiss luxury watch at a unique price."
In 2016, Formex broke away from the traditional distribution model. This meant that expensive campaigns with advertisements or celebrity endorsements were a thing of the past. Formex prefers to invest its money where it truly benefits customers: in the product development, technology, materials, and craftsmanship that go into the production of every single Formex. To do justice to this exceptional value for money, Formex watches are generally excluded from all discounts.
Formex Keeps Its Promises Raphael Granito, CEO of Formex, embodies Formex's commitment to speed, precision, mechanics, and adrenaline with his lifestyle. As a student, he spent his school holidays helping with the production of watch components in his father's factory. There, he learned the essential steps of designing, developing, and manufacturing a high-quality watch from some of the most renowned Swiss watch brands. "Pushing boundaries, taking risks, and testing limits have always been a part of Formex. Our timepieces have everything you need to become your most loyal partner on your own adventures." To this day, Raphael is a watch enthusiast—but also a successful downhill skater, racer, snowboarder, freediver, surfer, skydiver, and paraglider. With these adventures at heart and his technical expertise, Raphael has brought the Formex brand into the future, including the internet. With a team just as passionate about developing and producing watches, Formex today offers a very special price-performance ratio. We at Chronofactum are very proud to be part of this team. Formex: "Whatever the future may bring, we remain true to one thing: We build the highest quality at the best price."
Formex designs, develops, and manufactures all its watches in Switzerland. The company is based in the watchmaking capital of Biel. With its production, Formex also meets the strict new standards for Swiss Made products, which have been in effect since January 2017. Each individual watch is comprehensively tested for quality, function, and precision during and after production. Only then can the timepiece be worn on your wrist. Of course, at Chronofactum, you receive perfect all-round service, including a 3-year warranty on your Formex and the promise that we will be available to you as your trusted retailer at any time thereafter. We are happy to handle all communication and shipping to and from Formex for you.
