The roots of the watch brand JEAN MARCEL go back to the beginnings of the watch company GENGENBACH, which emerged in the 1920s as a manufacturer of wristwatches from the so-called “Gold City” of Pforzheim.

The lasting value of a JEAN MARCEL watch is based on the use of high-precision Swiss movements and sophisticated, handcrafted cases, dials, and hands. Adhering to the strictest quality criteria, the production of these masterpieces of watchmaking is characterized by outstanding quality, superior aesthetics, comfort, and exceptional precision.

For three decades, the brand has been producing extremely thin and elegant watches and is constantly breaking new records: ultra-thin quartz and mechanical watches are the flagship of JEAN MARCEL.

All JEAN MARCEL watches are available in very limited quantities. Furthermore, all mechanical movements are carefully fine-tuned. The corresponding certificate is included in the watch box for each mechanical watch.

True to the motto “affordable luxury”, JEAN MARCEL’s central challenge is to offer Swiss-made watches not only of exceptional quality but also at affordable prices for our customers.

Since the 1980s, and through challenging times, Jürgen Kuhn has managed to lead the company with a return to sophisticated design and meticulous craftsmanship down to the last detail. The current managing director, his son Marcel Kuhn, continues the company philosophy and consistently pursues the goals of JEAN MARCEL, supported by a team of top-class designers and watchmakers.

To this day, experienced specialists at several locations in Switzerland manufacture watches bearing the JEAN MARCEL brand name with the desired calm and serenity required for these masterpieces of micromechanics.

The development, construction, design and customer service departments are located in Germany.

JEAN MARCEL watches stand out from uninspired off-the-shelf products. Patents for exceptionally positioned date and day apertures, telemetry indicators on the opposite side of the central stop-second hand, and the secret signature on the anti-reflective coating, which becomes visible through gentle breathing on the sapphire crystal, make Jean Marcel watches so special.

Numerous developments are protected by international trademarks and guarantee the fans and collectors of this brand a long-lasting uniqueness of these creations.
