The new Squale 2001 Marina Militare is the result of a collaboration between Squale and the Italian Navy—a project whose roots date back to the 1980s and mark the beginning of the brand’s long diving tradition. Limited to just 500 numbered pieces, this edition brings to the civilian market for the first time a watch developed according to the operational requirements of the Italian Navy.
The blue sunray dial and bezel were designed according to the Italian Navy’s precise aesthetic specifications: the shade of blue, inspired by the Navy’s elegant official uniforms, creates a strong visual and identity-defining connection to the military world.
Designed for use in extreme conditions, the 2001 Marina Militare guarantees water resistance up to 600 meters and features the iconic bidirectional bezel with a push-to-release system, designed to ensure maximum safety during operations. The model is complemented by a set of two straps—a special rubber strap and a stainless steel bracelet—making the watch suitable for both professional use and more elegant everyday wear.
Squale is a brand that specialized exclusively in watchmaking even before its founding. In 1950, before the Squale brand existed, Charles and Helene Von Buren opened a watch factory in Neuchâtel, Switzerland, producing timepieces for other brands.
